About us.

The International Centre for Sustainable Environment Promotion (TICSEP) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization with key interests in sustainable development realisation. TICSEP's works in designing and implementing initiatives that sustainably resolve societal and environmental challenges that our planet faces today due to mankind’s unsustainable ways of exploiting earth resources. We do these through verifiable integrated management approaches that are sustainable and long lasting. We work in line with the objectives and targets of eight (8) of the seventeen (17) global sustainable goals.

Mission statement:

Our mission is to catalyze inclusive and lasting development by promoting initiatives that affirm Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 5, 8, 12, 13, 15, and 17 realisation. Through teamwork and innovative thinking, we aspire to put an end to poverty and hunger, eliminate all forms of inequality, and encourage sustainable lifestyles, gender equality, responsible consumption, climate action, and the protection of terrestrial ecosystems.

Our Focal Project Areas (Objectives):

Eradicate Poverty (SDG #1):

Implement livelihood development programs that build skills, foster entrepreneurship, and promot sustainable economic opportunities for vulnerable groups in society. Advocate for policies that consider and tackle the cause of poverty and ensure economic inclusion .

End Hunger (SDG #2):

Ensure food security through sustainable agriculture, efficient post-harvest management, and effective food distribution strategies. We empower smallholder farmers to transform their food production system to optimal levels and encourage regenerative agriculture for food safety and security during the challenges climate change presents to humanity.

Promote Gender Equality (SDG #5):

Promote women's empowerment through education, skills training, and economic opportunities. Advocate for gender-responsive policies and laws that protect women's rights and ensure equal opportunities. Challenge harmful gender norms and stereotypes through awareness campaigns and community engagement.

Promote Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG #8):

Facilitate access to education, vocational training, and entrepreneurship opportunities to foster sustainable employment. Advocate for fair wages, safe working conditions, and social protection for all workers. Promote inclusive economic growth that prioritizes the well-being of communities and the environment.

Promote Sustainable Consumption and Production (SDG #12):

Collaborate with businesses and policymakers to implement sustainable practices along the entire supply chain. Raise awareness about responsible consumption and production patterns. Promote circular economy practices and harness wealth creation.

Promote Climate Action (SDG #13):

Build community resilience to climate-related disasters through preparedness and adaptation measures. Advocate for climate justice and equitable distribution of resources to address climate change impacts. Mitigate greenhouse gas emissions through renewable energy adoption, afforestation, ecosystem restoration and sustainable land management initiatives.

Protect, Restore, and Promote Sustainable Use of Terrestrial Ecosystems (SDG #15):

Advocate for the sustainable management of forests, wetlands, and other terrestrial ecosystems. Foster community stewardship of natural resources through education and participatory conservation initiatives. Support reforestation and habitat restoration projects to conserve biodiversity and ecosystem services.

Strengthen Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development (SDG #17):

Forge partnerships with relevant stakeholders including governments, other NGOs, businesses, and academia to leverage expertise and resources. Advocate for inclusive and participatory decision-making processes at local, national, and global levels. Foster knowledge sharing and capacity building to accelerate progress towards the SDGs.

Organisational Sustainability and Implementation Strategy

To guarantee that our initiatives not only meet current needs but also promote long-term resilience and equitable advancement, our approach includes thorough impact assessment and mitigation research. Stakeholder engagement is a top priority for us, and we actively include various communities, governments, and organisations to co-create solutions that are relevant to their context and sensitive to cultural differences. We encourage a sense of ownership and accountability in people and communities by enabling them to take charge of sustainable practices through active community participation. Furthermore, a key component of our strategy is knowledge transfer, as we work to disseminate best practices, creative fixes, and lessons discovered in order to spur more extensive good change. We aim to leave no one behind by achieving long-lasting effects that promote social justice, economic success, and environmental stewardship through our coordinated activities.
