Prof. Edward D. Wiafe possesses a PhD. In Zoology from University of Cape Coast, Ghana; Post Graduate Diploma in Education, University of Cape Coast, Ghana; MSc. in Forest Ecology and Management from University of Freiburg, Germany and Diploma, Natural Resources Management, KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana. Prof. Wiafe, is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, University of Environment and Sustainable Development, Somanya, Ghana. He has over two decades experience in forest and wildlife ecology, management, and conservation.
Lydia graduated with an MSc. degree in Sustainable International Agriculture from Göttingen/Kassel University Germany. She worked as a field research assistant under the UPGRADE Plus project in Ghana, supporting and facilitating activities with rural women to build and enhance their livelihoods between 2018 - 2019. She is currently working with Shea Network Ghana as a project manager, engaged in Systems Innovations for Women's Economic Empowerment, a collaborative and solution focused initiative designed to develop solutions and tailor to address barriers to Women's Economic Empowerment.
Frank Acheampong is a passionate environmentalist and an entrepreneur. He is the founder and Executive Director for Rural Green Recycling, a registered NGO that is creating value for waste in low-income communities. He is currently the focal person for the Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) Banks Project by GIZ Proklima. He coordinates the source segregation of waste project for all GIZ buildings in Accra - Ghana. He is also responsible for the permitting processes required for the formalization of the informal sector in the E-Waste space.
