TICSEP’s “EcoHeal projects” has made impressive headway in addressing climate change and ecosystem degradation (UN SDGs 13 & 15), through the creative collaboration our stakeholders. As EcoHeal utilizes creative methods for rehabilitation, afforestation, soil protection, habitat preservation, and stakeholder collaboration in resolving existing socio-ecological issues.
One recent achievement involved financing, raising over 15,038 and planting tree seedlings of eight different varieties. These trees are rejuvenating forests, degraded farmlands, and industry-affected landscapes across Ghana. The project will go beyond simply planting trees; it fosters the "growing of forests," ensuring long-term sustainability. With landscapes already responding positively to the implemented initiatives, TICSEP anticipates the establishment of thriving wildlife habitats within the next few years. The additional benefits of these new forests are substantial, including carbon capture, erosion control, and improved air quality.
This impactful project wasn't possible without the combined efforts of 371 individuals. Farmers, their families, and community volunteers all joined forces to make EcoHeal a reality. TICSEP's collaborative approach is fostering a spirit of environmental stewardship within Ghanaian communities, paving the way for a greener future. Whilst making proactive efforts in restoring broken ecosystems, unfortunately the incidence of continual degradation persists. We shall keep engaging our stakeholders through awareness creation and promotion of law enforcement to ensure our collective goals are consolidated.
